Jigoku Shojo

Recently I went to Youtube and tried to dig some shows to watch and I stumbled upon this show, Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori, the sequel of a gerat anime, jigoku shoujo. I watched every episodes that are available on you tube and all of a sudden I get all obsess with it all over again!

The sypnosis was something like this :

.

闇に惑いし哀れな影よ・・・ 人を傷つけ貶めて、罪に溺れし業の魂 ・・・ いっぺん、死んで見る?
("O Pitiful shadow cloaked in darkness.Thy actions cause men pain and suffering. Thy hollow soul drowns in thy sins. Would you like to see what death is like?" )
-Enma Ai.

Each short story of which the series consists describes the suffering of a different individual caused by one or more antagonists. A website known as Jigoku Tsūshin may only be accessed at midnight by one who harbors a desire for revenge against their tormenter. Should someone submit the name of one they hate, the Jigoku Shōjo (Hell Girl) will offer them a black straw doll with a red string wound about its neck. If the string is pulled, she will ferry the recipient of the revenge straightaway to Hell, but on the condition that those who request her intervention fall into Hell as well at the end of their natural lives.
During each story, the protagonists' dramas are explained in detail from the start of their grudges, through the escalation of their torment until it becomes unbearable and they resort to the "Jigoku Tsūshin" (correspondence with Hell) - a mysterious black colored web site only accessible at midnight. The contents of the site are only a text: "あなたの怨み、晴らします。 (We will take revenge on your behalf.)", a text box where the grudge's object must be written, and a "送信 (Send)" button. Some time after the post, they are visited by Enma Ai, a young red eyed girl wearing a traditional sailor school uniform. She delivers them a black straw doll (In the second season, the doll may also be red or dark blue depending on who turns into it) with a red string tied to its neck, and she tells them that if they want their vengeance to be delivered, they must remove the string from the doll, and their enemies will be immediately taken to Hell. However, a crest shaped mark will appear on the protagonists' chests, always reminding them that after their lives come to an end, they must give compensation by having their own souls also sent to Hell. (taken out from wikipedia)

The show was a masterpiece! It was an interesting concept about people browsing the website to hell and type the name they hate so that the hell girl would send these people to hell.
It shows bitterness in every human relation they could think of. Brother and sister, teachers and students etc, in hatred there lays love, and in love there is hatred. The complex relationships are uncovered one by one. It’s much better than the 1st season, where they mostly focus on hatred and revenge. And the background of the Jigoku Shoujo will be reveal bit by bit (how she ended as a hell girl was explained in the end of the 1st season and the beginning of the 2nd season, go watch them!)

Whoa! I love this show so much but the ending was rather sad for the main character, Enma Ai, the Jigoku Shoujo, (translation: Hell girl) and the recurring character from the 1st seasons appeared too, but only once, leaving a cryptic message behind, which makes the viewers in confusion, what really happened to her and her father between 1st and 2nd season?

And Kikuri, I think she’s quite cute! Even though she’s quite evil and sometimes, destroying stuff and meddling Ai’s task, she’s still CUTE! Maybe she’s evil because of her master. :P ( don’t ask me, watch them!)

Some of the music is quite good, but the rest are much better if you just watch it while paying attention to the music.

This is one of my favourite scenes, the reappearance of Tsugumi!
(ps. She’s the recurring character I’m talking about!)

After watching the ending I get all depressed again, Ai started out herself as a slightly extra ordinary girl and ended in such a tragic manner. Sigh, I can’t believe she just… … like that! I guess there won’t be a 3rd season anymore, huh? At least the animators did a very good job in wrapping the whole story up. Like Ai said, “This is…the end…now…”

I browsed the webs and found something interesting; they actually sell Ai dolls, but sadly they don sell them outside of japan and one of them approximately 16800 yen which is equivalent to somewhere RM500! OMG! I can’t afford that…guess I better just stick to watching the anime, which I’m good at…:P

I wanna buy the original DVD! But apparently that seem to be impossible living in this full of pirated DVDs country. Which is the original and which is pirated, I can’t tell until I watch them on video. How sad… anyway, I still gonna buy no matter what it takes!

Doesn't she always looked so lonely?
